Build around one connected application data model
ELWIS combines a visual page builder, structured data and workflow logic. Interfaces connect to the Type System and backend processes so configured pages work with business records. The vendor illustrates customer relationships, orders, events and asset workflows. Teams define types and relationships, create reusable sections and widgets, and configure triggers, conditions and actions.
Workflow at a glance
Editorial overview based on vendor documentation.
- Define the applicationDescribe users, records, approvals and decisions to support.
- Build and connectDevelop the data/backend setup and connect pages to records and logic.
- Operate and evolveMaintain supported configuration visually and scope changes against the architecture.
Inputs and results
Inputs are data models, interface requirements, rules and integrations. Outputs include configured pages, records, workflows and reports/documents such as PDF and Word. Templates and QR outputs are also described.
Technical fit and boundaries
Delivery combines custom development of the application base with a no-code configuration layer. Not every integration or change is necessarily visual. Specify hosting, edition, authentication, data residency, security controls, external access and supported versions.
Evaluation questions
Does ELWIS eliminate development? No; the model includes backend, data, logic and core frontend development. Can it automate approvals? Triggers and actions are documented, but rules, human checkpoints, permissions and exceptions need design and testing.
Plan your evaluation
